This glossary of diabetes terminology was planned and complied so that people who are involved in clinical practice, education, and research related to diabetes will correctly understand and use the terminology of diabetology, which is progressing remarkably. The book brings together terminology from a wide range of related fields, including molecular biology, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, nutritional science, nursing, psychology, epidemiology, and others, as basic disciplines in addition to the clinical area of diabetology. Organized into three parts—an English-Japanese section, a Japanese-English section, and an abbreviation section—the book contains terminology covering the entire gamut of diabetology from research at the genetic level to the treatment and the practice of diabetes education, including vocabulary from related fields.
