This handbook sets general guides for diabetes educators based on the current situation of diabetes education in Japan, and is designed for practical use by education teams, including co-medical staff, in clinical settings. The appropriate treatment and lifestyle management of diabetes patients, the number of whom continues to increase, are essential for preventing the development and progression of complications. The handbook is intended for daily use by certified diabetes educators and all members of the education team in clinical practice.
