The number of patients who need dialysis because of diabetes is increasing rapidly. This book is a standard text for diet therapy designed for diabetes patients who suffer from diabetic nephropathy. It introduces diet therapy and food tables specifically for diabetic nephropathy, and is designed to help patients who have additional restrictions on protein and salt intake to shift smoothly from the conventional diet therapy to one appropriate for diabetic neuropathy. It reviews the weight of a single unit, and includes menu planning examples that are easier to understand. The current version is the second edition (2003) of the 1998 publication.
