Chubu Chapter

PhotoThe Chubu Chapter was inaugurated in 1974. It consists of the seven prefectures that make up the Tokai region (Aichi, Gifu, Shizuoka, and Mie) and Hokuriku region (Ishikawa, Toyama, and Fukui) and has 1,788 members (as of February, 2006). The chapter’s academic meetings are what set it apart from the other chapters. The Chubu Chapter holds two academic meetings a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. The venues are divided evenly between the Tokai region and the Hokuriku region, and care is taken to hold meetings in each region during both the spring and fall.
